Camperdown Preschool provides a sessional model for our 4 year old program, with 5 hour sessions available for 3 days.
Both 3 year old and 4 year old groups are 15 hours per week. There will be up to 33 children in each group from our diverse multicultural community.
We run separate programs for 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten.
The 3 year old program is held in the Kanandah building and our 4 year old program is held in the Baranbail building.
The 3 year old program runs 3 days a week and the 4 year old program runs 5 days a week.
Early Childhood Educational Program
Our Kindergarten Educational Program is delivered in accordance with the outcomes of the following Early Years Learning Frameworks:
The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia “Belonging, Being and Becoming”
And
Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (0-8yrs)
These Frameworks identifies 5 Learning Outcomes that describes the knowledge, skills and disposition that we want for all children.
Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of Identity
Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to his or her world.
Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved Learners.
Outcome 5: Children are effective Communicators.
